About Our Firm Westons – Lawyers is a small and busy law firm in
the central business district of Melbourne. The office is central, efficient, with well trained staff and the emphasis in on personal service. Clients have direct access to a senior practitioner experienced in commercial practice. It is part of our marketing strategy that conduct of work is not delegated to junior staff. We aim at a high professional standard combined with a friendly approach. Fields of law Since 1979 we have conducted a commercial legal
practice in Melbourne with corresponding offices interstate. Our current main fields of law are:– 1.
Finance Law Loan documentation and security documentation. We have acted for a number of major banks and for Credit Unions. 2.
Land Law Subdivisions; land acquisition; adverse possessions; easements; covenants; retirement village tenancies and general conveyancing. 3.
Wills and Probate We prepare Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney. We apply for Probate and assist executors in the management and distribution of deceased estates. 4.
Trademarks We register Trademarks with IT Australia and liaise with overseas agents to give our clients trademark protection overseas as well. 5.
Litigation We prefer to keep our clients out of the Courts but in matters where it is in the client’s best interest to litigate we provide full service and have achieved excellent results on their behalf. 6.
Recoveries We are experienced in both insurance recoveries and company recoveries. The hardest part of a recovery is not obtaining judgement but actually getting back the money owed. We advise our clients on when to issue and when to write off the debt. We have acted for major banks in recovery and insolvency matters and followed up with bankruptcy and security recovery. Service We endeavour at all times to give prompt and
personal service. Most of our clients
